Taste of Shanghai Burwood is the Taste of Shanghai Group’s spacious premium venue. It draws its welcoming decor from the mixing pot of sights that festooned the laneways and Lilong communities of founder Jennifer Du’s youth in Shanghai. In 2017 the restaurant introduced its exclusive signature Stewed Series to the Burwood menu. The dishes are inspired by humble alleyway home kitchens where mothers would slow cook large pots of aromatic meals. Those aromas would waft into the street, with dishes being shared among half a dozen families living in a single lane. At Taste of Shanghai Burwood friends and families can also create culinary memories gathering and savouring delicious and authentic Shanghai food from dumplings, noodles, stews and many more home recipes.
